What this policy covers
This policy describes how Folio ("we", "us") handles information collected through this website, folio.properties — including our demo and Portfolio Visibility Audit request forms. It does not govern data our customers load into the Folio platform itself; that data is handled under the agreements we sign with each customer, and customers remain the owners of their portfolio data.
Information you provide
When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you type: your name, company email address, and an optional description of your portfolio and managers. We use it for exactly one purpose — responding to your request. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or add you to an automated marketing sequence.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how visitors use these pages. We use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, which collect device and usage information (such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and referring site) via cookies and similar technologies. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals — including your IP address — to distinguish people from bots.
How we use information
We use the information above to respond to demo and audit requests, to operate and improve this website, to understand which content is useful, and to protect the site from abuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it on our behalf
We rely on a small set of service providers to run this site: Vercel (hosting), Resend (delivery of form-submission emails to our team), Google Analytics (analytics), Meta (advertising measurement), and Cloudflare (bot protection). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us.
Retention
Form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain a record of our correspondence, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the respective analytics platform.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@folio.properties — we respond to every request. You can also decline analytics cookies through your browser settings or extensions, and the site remains fully usable without them. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, and California), you may have additional statutory rights, and we honor them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted prominently. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
